Getting started ...


This first post, and several to follow, are related to my presentation for the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University on May 9, 2009. I spoke with parents of children gifted in mathematics about using games and the internet to enrich and enliven their child's interest in math.

My first concern is that students will be safe surfers. 



Your child's computer use should take place in a PUBLIC AREA in your home. No exceptions. This is both for safety and for you to see what websites your child visits most often and for the longest periods of time.
